Born from a Failure We Didn't See Coming
Real Hey I was founded by Malinda du Preez, after living through the exact disaster we now help farmers avoid. While transitioning from corporate work into permaculture farming, she faced water supply failures and equipment breakdowns that nearly ended her operation before it began.
Water gone without warning. A pump failure discovered in the middle of the night. A scramble for an emergency repair she never budgeted for. These weren't theoretical problems β they were her Tuesday.
While working at Relax Solar, she watched the same preventable crisis play out on farm after farm across South Africa. The pattern was always the same: farmers found out their equipment was failing only once it already had. What they needed wasn't a faster emergency response β it was a warning early enough to never need one.
